Fodors key west hotels10/21/2023 For a truly unique experience, take advantage of the resort's Dock to Dish local seafood initiative, which includes a sustainable fishing excursion and allows guests to be involved in every step of their meal, from threading the line to hand-picking herbs to complement the day's catch, before enjoying a seaside sunset dinner. Relax in rooms and suites featuring nature-inspired decor or head onto your private balcony to soak in stunning views. The bar makes delicious cocktails, and the pool is a great spot to spend the day. It was SUPER nice and we ate here a couple nights. As an added bonus, this Curio Collection resort is nearly all-inclusive with a resort charge that covers the basics – like pool amenities, fishing gear, bikes, kayaks and paddleboards – as well as specialty activities like foam parties, s'mores nights and scavenger hunts for all ages. This is the hotel connected to the Marina in Key West so you have access to it if you’re staying on a boat. While the resort is situated in a more secluded part of Key Largo (you'll need a car to reach other parts of the key), travelers praise the resort's abundance of on-site activities, including specially planned events each day. Have a great trip.Baker's Cay Resort says its location is "just the right amount of away from it all" and visitors agree. Hop on the free shuttle to join the fun on. But it all depends on what is important to you. 2 Guests A whopping seven acres on the Gulf of Mexico, this is the place to stay if you love to earn your Marriott points and you enjoy the finer things. If the Holiday Inn is going to offer you a room facing the parking lot and The Key Lime Inn has something pool side I would take the pool side room. Last thing I want to add is really check into what type of room they are offering and where it is in the places you are looking at. As far as Holiday Inns go, this is a nice one. I have heard some of the rooms smell musty but all older hotels down here have that problem. It is on a roof of one of the smaller buildings and overlooks nothing. Rooms are small and the pool area is not very nice. They did room upgrades not too long ago so they could call themselves a Holiday Inn Crown Plaza instead of a basic Holiday Inn. The Crown Plaza is in the thick of things (400 block of Duval). Just a FYI, Duval Street runs about 14 blocks long with most of the bars tourist attractions between block 0 and block 700. So if you are planning on doing the party scene every night you might get a bit tired of the walk. Around 10+ years ago the Marquesa was THE place to stay in Key West, but the current darling is the Gardens. It is at the quiet end of Duval and one block over. Marc - weve been going to Key West for years but have never stayed at any of these places. They have a good size pool area and offer a small continental breakfast. Ive never used At Home in Key West, but I know others whove used it and been very pleased - they have lots of different accommodation options - and you might take a look at their website. All and any recommendations would be greatly appreciated. and a good choice if you want to stay in town but not a B&B or guest house. Key West Hotel Going to Key West airport Thursday December 4 for a long weekend, mother daughters trip. They do a nice breakfast in the morning too. Some, I have heard but not in a while, are a little tacky. It is much small then The Key lime Inn and rooms are uniquely decorated. The Blue Parrot is also in a good location (very close to The Key lime Inn). The location is good, only a couple blocks from Duval Street and they do have parking. I think they also offer a continental breakfast. They have a couple different types of room but even the basic room is nice. It was renovated a few years ago and they really did a nice job. I guess it all depends on what you like because they are all a little different.
